Auroi is a craft brand with the meaning of benefiting our beautiful as well as ours. Valuable traditional craft products are presented with a modern sensibility unique to Auroi. Traditions must not only stay in the past, but have a flow from the past to the present and from the present to the future. The Onggi Heritage is the result of this journey of contemplation, and based on the experiences that Onggi has accumulated since the past, we wanted to provide the values we need today.

There are collaboration projects with various intangible cultural assets. Onggi Heritage worked with pottery masters Changho Kim and Youngrak Jeong. Onggi Heritage presents including Pure-pottery, which has a unique bluish color and purification function, baked in a traditional firewood kiln, a variety of Onggi products. It strives to promote Korean beauty and outstanding technology.

Auroi's pottery products are made using only natural materials without using any glaze. The unique color is created with the craftsman's secret method obtained from nature, and the inside of the pottery is made by applying lye, a natural finishing material, instead of glaze. A part of nature created over a long period of time, the craftsman's devotion and color concerns, and the values of the past, which is lost in modern life, were brought together to create Auroi's Onggi products with healthy beauty.

The pottery, which has been baked in a traditional kiln, allows air to flow between the outside and the inside due to the pores. Onggi, which is called a breathing vessel, helps to push out impurities inside, so that the contents do not rot and can be stored for a long time. The pottery made by combining the technology of the past and the use of the present will increase its value as the user's time is added.

User Guide

In order for Onggi to exhibit its effects for a long time, it needs to be tamed.
The process of taming the pottery makes the fine pores on the surface of the pottery smooth and increases durability.

1. Wash several times under running water.
2. Fill it with 70’C (158’F) water and add about 1 tsp of vinegar to disinfect it for half a day.
3. Get the water at 70'C again and keep it for about a day.
4. Lay a dry cloth and turn the pottery over to drain the water and dry it in a cool place for 2-3 days.

Please do not add hot water, heat an empty bowl for a long time, or use a microwave oven, oven, or dishwasher, as the rapid temperature change may break the pottery product.
There are pores on the surface of the pottery product, so it can be adsorbed when detergent is used.
We recommend that you use a natural ingredient such as coarse salt, baking powder, or vinegar to gently clean with a soft kitchen scrubber or brush.
After drying the surface completely, it is recommended to store it in a well-ventilated place.

There may be differences in shape due to the manufacturing technique of the pottery and the characteristics of the material.
Due to the handmade nature of each pottery, there may be small differences in the texture, size, weight, and color tone of each pottery depending on the shade of the glaze.
It goes through a number of firing processes in a traditional kiln above 1300℃, and during this process, there may be small iron points, pinholes from which air bubbles have escaped, and small spots formed by aggregation of pigments.

- Customs and Duties

The recipient will be held responsible for international shipments which may be subject to import duties and taxes. Please be advised that these charges are levied by the destination country and we do not have control over them. In the case that the recipient refuses to receive the parcel, the order will be returned to Korea and will not be re-shipped. Relevant expenses (round-trip shipping, customs, etc.) will be deducted from the refund.

Exchange

1. Requirements:

Please take into consideration that we only accept qualifying returns but not exchanges. Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.

1) An item is eligible for cancellation if:
-you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status (if your order is under “Preparing Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) or
-the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay; or
-the ordered item is out of stock.

2) We accept return(s) if:

-you receive a product different from your order; or

-you receive a defective product.

**Return Instructions

(1) Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return.

(2) A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone.

(3) Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID.

*Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.

*Please note that EVEN the defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent in their original packaging and unworn.

*Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return packaging.

* Shipping fee for any return caused by our fault will be paid by the company. However, if EMS’ cash on delivery is not possible then you can scan the return receipt and either mail it with the item to return or post an image of it on the forum. The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.

3) We do not accept return(s) if:

-you are returning the items just because you changed your mind (on size, color, etc.)
-you are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
-the products are damaged due to your mishandling
-your return request is not approved by our staff

The following items are not considered defective:

* Items that are originally manufactured without tags or labels
* Items with creases that may have been made while shipping
* Items with unsatisfactory/incomplete finish due to mass production

4) If there is a missing item from your order:

*Contact our customer service center by phone or by forum (if you cannot reach us by phone) within 1 day of delivery.
*Please keep all contents of the original package including packaging material (boxes, plastic bags etc.) with you until you are instructed otherwise.

Please note that we may not be able to process the refund for your missing item if you lose or damage any packaging material.
